We are a World War II reenactment group portraying various aspects of the German SS soldat. Our members are based in the American mid-west in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, and we centralize our event attendance in this area. Our unit is skilled at both public demonstrations and education as well as tactical concepts and execution in the field.
To fully embody elements of the historical regiment, we also allow our members to portray one of a selection of secondary impressions. Our support staff gives our reenactors the opportunity to fully explore the operations of a WWII military body while pursuing his or her own interests. The unit's support staff will at all times be operative in fulfillment of the overall tactical objectives of the unit, and are trained to independently utilize their individual skills in the achievement of our goals.
Aufklärungsabteilung (Reconnaissance):
Our recon detachment is standard squad size, overseen by an individual Gruppenführer. It is trained to seek out intelligence and encounter enemy positions without detection. As the pre-cursors to any Infantry movement, reconnaissance personnel must employ stealth, speed and ingenuity to gather information.
Nachrichtentruppen (Signals):
Communications troops are responsible for setting up lines and methods of communication in the field, and specifically keeping contact between a central command and the men in the field. In addition to facilitation of their own unit's information, signals personnel will attempt to break enemy lines and intercept key intelligence if possible.
Sanitätstruppen (Medical):
Medical personnel, consisting of a Military medic, stretcher-bearers and nursing staff, provide aid and comfort to the injured personnel in a conflict. They are to use weapons in defense of themselves and those in their care, and act without prejudice to the origin of the wounded encountered.
Feldgendarmerie (MP):
The Military Police are in charge of supervision and interrogation of opposing personnel, personnel exchange and security.
